Nervous System Regulation, Self-Expression, and Emotional Connection youth • adult • family
Stacia offers individualized therapy for both children and adults, providing a supportive space to explore and develop nervous system regulation skills to enhance self-regulation, self-expression, and emotional connection. In these sessions, Stacia tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each client, using a variety of creative and therapeutic techniques that promote healing, growth, and self-awareness.
Expressive Arts Therapy Consults for Children Sessions incorporate a blend of structured directives, client-led play, and expressive arts therapy modalities. Using a bottom-up approach that engages the body, emotions, and mind, kids are invited to explore art, music, dance, drama, play, and sandtray to express themselves, build confidence, and strengthen self-esteem. Early sessions are exploratory, allowing each child to experiment with different creative methods to discover what resonates most with them. This approach encourages curiosity, emotional connection, and self-discovery, helping kids process their feelings and navigate challenges in a safe, supportive environment. Stacia also integrates The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), a research-based listening therapy designed to help regulate the nervous system, improve emotional resilience, and enhance social engagement. SSP can be especially beneficial for children (and adults) who experience anxiety, trauma, or difficulty with emotional regulation, providing a powerful tool to promote a sense of safety and calm.
Expressive Arts Therapy Consults for Adults Stacia offers a similarly tailored approach to address the unique challenges and experiences that come with navigating life's complexities. Whether you are seeking to manage stress, process trauma, or enhance emotional awareness, Stacia uses a variety of creative and therapeutic methods to help you build emotional resilience and develop effective self-regulation skills. These sessions can include expressive arts, mindfulness practices, movement, and other creative techniques designed to help you explore your feelings, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful change in your life. In early sessions, adults are encouraged to explore different creative modalities, such as art, music, movement, and journaling, to discover which methods resonate most with them. This dynamic, client-centered approach allows you to express yourself in ways that feel authentic and empowering. Stacia's goal is to help you deepen your emotional awareness, gain clarity, and find healthier ways to navigate life’s challenges, all while fostering a greater sense of connection to yourself and others.
